What does Gernius do?
Gernius provides business coaching, mentoring and implementation support to help business owners gain clarity, make confident decisions and achieve extraordinary results. Whether you’re just starting out, feeling stuck or ready to grow, we’ll work together to create practical solutions that fit your business.
Who do you work with?
We work with business owners across a wide range of industries, from sole traders and start-ups to established businesses and teams. If you’re committed to improving your business and willing to take action, Gernius is here to support you.
I don't know which programme is right for me.
That’s completely okay. Every business is different, which is why we begin with a complimentary consultation. We’ll talk about where you’re at, where you’d like to be and what support will best suit your goals.
Do I need to have a business plan before working with you?
Not at all. Many clients come to Gernius because they know something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start. We’ll help you gain clarity first, then build a plan together.
Is coaching only for businesses that are struggling?
Definitely not. Some clients come to overcome challenges, while others want to grow, improve systems, increase profitability or simply have someone in their corner to challenge and support them. Coaching is about helping you build the business and life you want, whatever your starting point.
What happens during the free consultation?
Your complimentary consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your business, your goals and any challenges you’re facing. You’ll leave with greater clarity and an understanding of how Gernius may be able to support you—whether we work together or not.
Do you work with people outside the Bay of Plenty?
Yes. Coaching sessions can be held in person from the Gernius office in Rangiuru, or online, making it easy to work together wherever you’re based.
How long will it take to see results?
Every business is different. Many clients experience greater clarity and confidence after their first few sessions. Long-term results come from consistently implementing the strategies and actions we develop together.
Will you tell me what to do?
No. Gernius isn’t about giving generic advice. It’s about asking the right questions, sharing practical tools and working alongside you to find solutions that are right for your business. Together, we’ll create a plan you understand, believe in and are committed to implementing.

Do you offer support between sessions?
Yes. Depending on the programme you choose, you’ll have access to support between sessions to help you stay on track, work through challenges and maintain momentum.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. In fact, many clients come to Gernius because they feel overwhelmed or uncertain. Taking the first step is often the hardest part—and you don’t have to do it alone.
Will you hold me accountable?
Yes—but always with encouragement, respect and understanding. Accountability at Gernius isn’t about pressure; it’s about helping you stay focused on what matters most and celebrating the progress you make along the way.

How can I attend a Gernius Conference?
Gernius Conferences are part of the wider Gernius experience and are exclusively available to clients who have completed the Gernius Foundations Programme.
If you haven’t worked with Gernius before, your first step is to start a conversation with us. We’ll explore where you and your business are now, what you’d like to achieve and whether the Foundations Programme is the right place to begin.
Once you’ve completed Foundations, you’ll be eligible to register for upcoming Gernius Conferences.
Why do I need to complete the Foundations Programme before attending?
Because we want you to get so much more from the experience than simply attending another business conference.
The Foundations Programme gives you the opportunity to explore yourself, your business, your values, your vision and what extraordinary results look like for you.
It also means everyone arriving at a Gernius Conference has completed the groundwork and shares an understanding of the Gernius approach. We can begin at a deeper level, creating meaningful conversations, stronger connections and new possibilities from the moment the experience begins.
Foundations isn’t a hurdle to attending the conference — it’s part of the experience.
Can I register while I'm completing the Foundations Programme?
Registration for Gernius Conferences is available once you have completed the Foundations Programme.
If a future conference is something you’d love to work towards, talk to us. We can help you understand the pathway from Foundations through to becoming eligible to attend.
